Day One of Missoula’s Climate Strike began with speeches from high school and college students to a receptive crowd of supporters at Caras Park on Friday morning.
An organization called ‘Missoula Climate Strike’ is encouraging high school and college students to conduct a ‘week long strike from school, authentic and focused learning, and an action plan for survival’, in reaction to climate change.
With an introduction by Missoula Mayor John Engen, Montana’s senior Senator Jon Tester addressed a very supportive audience at the Holiday Inn in Friday morning.
Apparently Gov. Steve Bullock (D-MT) spent too much time in NYC and Washington, DC, because he thinks the fact that Montanans are wearing shorts and sandals is PROOF of climate change. Actually, it's still cold outside, governor, it just feels warmer. Oh, and Montana kids are tough.
In my opinion we’re on the verge of another Cold War of epic proportions. China, Russia and No. Korea all bring big weapons to the party and that's not good.
