The National Weather Service (NWS) hasn't confirmed whether or not an actual tornado struck down in Plentywood, Montana Monday night. Nonetheless, the storm wreaked havoc, flipping over airplanes and knocking out the beacon at the airport.

I spoke with Ruth Ebert from NWS in Glasgow Tuesday morning. She said they received reports of 86 MPH winds in the area, an inch and a half of rain, and hail as big as 1.75 inches. Tanja Fransen with the NWS is doing a survey Tuesday, but as of Tuesday morning a tornado had not yet been confirmed.
