Shooting Victim Identified as Washington State Man – Driver Arrested On Probation Violation [PHOTO]
Missoula County authorities have released the name of the fatal shooting victim who was found in a vehicle in front of St. Patrick Hospital on Sunday.
Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Brenda Bassett identified the victim as Jake Colvin, 25, of Valley, Washington.
Public Information Officer Travis Welsh issued the following press release:
On Sunday July 26, 2015 at approximately 12:23PM, Missoula Police Officers responded to St. Patrick’s Hospital for the report of “shots fired”, and an apparent gunshot victim.
Upon their arrival officers were directed to a white SUV parked near the hospital entrance where a deceased male was located in the front passenger seat.
They were also directed to a second male who was identified as the driver of the SUV.
This male was initially considered a person of interest in a case that may have originated in the City of Spokane, WA. This male, identified as Leo Rodriguez (34) of Spokane, was later arrested for an out-standing Parole Violation Warrant from the State of California, and for Tampering with Physical Evidence.
