58 year-old Dennis Wilson was shot and killed on Friday, June 5 at a residence in East Missoula.
Now, Missoula County Sheriff's Office investigators are asking for a witness to come forward with information he may have in the case. Public Information Officer Brenda Bassett said the witness was one of the customers that stopped by a yard sale at the residence earlier that day.
"Detectives are still trying to identify a potential witness in regards to that shooting," Bassett said. "We don't have many details on his description. only that he's a tall white male who was driving a white Mercedes sedan. He stopped at the yard sale we think at around noon on June 5th and purchased a roll of landscape fabric. We're just asking anyone with information to contact our office at 258-4810 and ask for Detective Gunter or Detective Cochrane."
Bassett said detectives have not yet released information on whether Wilson's shooting death was accidental or deliberate, and that the investigation is ongoing.
