Senator John Walsh Welcomes Montana’s World War II Veterans To Washington For The Big Sky Honor Flight
Senator Walsh is Honorary Chair of the Big Sky Honor Flight, and was joined by his wife Janet to celebrate the veterans’ service. The Walshes attended the Big Sky Honor Flight Banquet on Sunday evening and greeted them at the World War II Memorial Monday morning.
“Our veterans put our country ahead of themselves and have earned the opportunity to visit the memorial dedicated in their honor,” said Walsh. “Janet and I are so grateful for the opportunity to participate in their weekend. It was our privilege to welcome these members of the greatest generation to Washington, and to share in the celebration of their service and respect for the lives lost.”
The Big Sky Honor Flight provides Montana World War II veterans with the opportunity to visit their memorial in Washington, D.C. at no personal cost.
