Senator Jon Tester claims he was only doing what he had to do. Tester attacked the Department of Veterans Affairs nominee Ronny Jackson claiming that at least 20 people told him the White House doctor was abusing alcohol. Tester also charged that Jackson was over-prescribing prescription drugs and fostering a hostile work environment.

None of the 20 people that Tester claims warned him about Ronny Jackson were willing to go on the record. But the anonymous claims were good enough to make Jackson withdraw from being considered as head of the VA.

President Donald Trump said on Fox & Friends that Tester will "have a big price to pay" for revealing unsubstantiated accusations against his VA nominee Ronny Jackson.
