The Montana Department of Labor and Industry is providing free safety training at its first ever SafetyFest in Butte.

“Anyone with an interest in safety is welcome to attend,” said Labor Commissioner Pam Bucy. “We provide high-quality safety training at zero cost to help reduce Montana’s unacceptable workplace injury, illness and fatality rates.”

The three-day training event is set for June 2 - 4, 2015 at the Montana Tech campus.

There are more than 35 classes to choose from. Topics include First Aid/CPR/AED, OSHA 10-hour cards for construction and general industry; Work Comp 101, HAZWOPER 8-Hour Refresher; Violence in the Workplace; Making Safety Meetings Fun; Trenching and more.

Registration will close on Sunday May 24, 2015 at midnight. You may register at safetyfestmt.com. All events are free to attend, but registration is required, as seats are limited.
