21 year-old Harley Bordeaux, already serving time with the Department of Corrections for various offenses, appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Wednesday to hear charges of sexual intercourse without consent and unlawful transactions with children.

According to court documents, Bordeaux stayed with a family in July of 2014 and slept in the same bed with a 13 year-old girl. Bordeaux allegedly sexually assaulted the girl, causing her pain. He then admitted to purchasing beer for all in the house, including the victim.

Missoula Deputy County Attorney Mac Bloom asked Judge Marie Anderson for a high bail, even though Bordeaux was already in custody for other offenses.

"We asked the court for $100,000 bail because we are concerned about community safety," Bloom said. "The defendant in this case is charged with felony sexual intercourse without consent. He was on probation for felony deceptive practices and felony theft at the time of the offense. He also admitted to committing other offenses while he was on probation, including stealing from his employer, fleeing from law enforcement and neglecting requirements for compliance monitoring."

Bloom said Bordeaux was also considered a flight risk.

"He absconded in his other felony case on November 26th of 2014 and was arrested on December 1st, of 2014 on a $25,000 warrant, so we were concerned that he would also flee in this case."

Anderson set bail at $100,000, and remanded Bordeaux back to the Missoula County Jail.
