The Safety Coordinator of Park County Disaster & Emergency Services, Belinda Van Nurden, has issued a ban on all fireworks and open fires- effective immediately. That doesn't mean you can't have fun this Fourth of July weekend though. You just might have to make some adjustments to your plans.

Above is a map of Park county where the ban is in place. In Gallatin County, there is an open fire ban beginning at 5pm on Friday July 29th. You don't have to go without a pyrotechnic display this year though. The Gallatin County Fairgrounds is still hosting their annual firework show that is one of the biggest in Montana. The fireworks are planned to begin at dusk on July 4th. If you live in Park county and are not going to the Livingston Roundup Rodeo, then head to Bozeman and find a nice vantage point to view the fireworks from at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds.
