An Oklahoma man, 35 year-old Robert Thomas, was charged on Thursday with aggravated burglary, partner or family member assault and criminal possession of dangerous drugs after allegedly beating and strangling is ex-wife, beating up her boyfriend and possessing marijuana upon his arrest.

At his justice court appearance, Deputy Missoula County Attorney Brittany Santorno requested Thomas be held on $50,000 bail, due to the serious nature of the charges.

"The defendant allegedly choked his ex-wife multiple times while intoxicated," Santorno said. "The following day, he showed up at his ex-wife's home, cam in uninvited and attacked her boyfriend in the presence of their child. The defendant has an extensive criminal history including endangering the welfare of a child and battery. He has a no-bond warrant for failure to appear on felony burglary and assault charges in Oklahoma. The defendant is a danger t the community and a huge flight risk."

Judge Marie Anderson set bail at $50,000, and remanded Thomas back to the jail.
