The Governor’s Office of Community Service is asking you to take a Community Needs Assessment regarding statewide needs and how AmeriCorps can play a role in addressing those needs.

Results from the Community Needs Assessment will be used to determine how AmeriCorps members and community volunteers can address some of the most pressing needs in Montana. Issues are divided into seven areas: environmental stewardship; education; disaster services; economic opportunity; healthy futures; veterans and military families; and American Indian affairs.

Since 1994, more than 8,800 AmeriCorps members have served 8.5 million hours in Montana. In 2013, approximately 264,800 Montanans volunteered a total of 32.7 million hours of service to the state.
