A few weeks ago it was made public that President Obama would not be in Gettysburg to mark the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address. Since then his detractors and even members of the 'drive-by' media have been taking shots at him for his decision. And I'll admit it seems odd that a President that had expressed his admiration for Lincoln so openly would not be in Gettysburg for a once-in-a-lifetime event. But imagine for a moment if President Obama HAD spent the day in Gettysburg... I can see the headlines now: "President Grandstands While Signature Legislation Flounders" or "Obamacare Death Spiral Continues As President Heads To Pennsylvania"

Do you think it was a mistake for the President to pass up Gettysburg on Tuesday, or was it a no-win situation?
