Museum of the Rockies (MOR) announced recently the award of a $50,000 grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation as part of a $4.45 million Wells Fargo Clean Technology and Innovation program supporting technology advancements for a clean energy future.

Funds awarded to MOR will be used for major support of the Museum's TwoFly Benefit Event where money raised goes toward awareness of the Yellowstone eco-system, the TwoFly Family Day that promotes environmental stewardship of Montana streams and rivers, as well as other MOR sustainability initiatives and special events for children and families.

"Wells Fargo has been a wonderful partner throughout the years," said Shelley McKamey, Executive Director of Museum of the Rockies. "Thanks to their generous support this year, we will have a Family Game Day in February, a special family event for the Chocolate exhibit in the summer, and the Grossology event at Halloween - the types of events that provide learning and education and that families want to see at the Museum of the Rockies."

MOR and Wells Fargo have planned a special ceremony scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 2015, at 1:00pm in the Museum's lobby. The ceremony will be open to the public and all interested Museum friends and patrons.
