Carnival of the Animals Dance Performance returns to the Emerson on Saturday, Feb.21 at 4 p.m.

Theater Montana Ballet Company will again present its Carnival of the Animals, under the direction of Elizabeth De'Fanti and set to Camille Saint-Saens' famous score, on Saturday, Feb. 21 at the Emerson Ballroom. The performance brings a menagerie of animals to life and is sure to fascinate both children and adults. Some of the original 11 instrumentalists will be performed, such as the famous cello solo "Dying Swan", originally choreographed by Mikhail Fokine in 1905 for acclaimed ballerina Anna Pavlova.

There will be pre-show children's activities such as face painting, animal balloons, and more from 3 - 4 p.m. The performance will begin at 4 p.m.

This year, Montana Ballet Company will support The Cody Dieruf Foundation as it marks its 10-year anniversary, honoring Cody's legacy as a dancer with MBC. The Cody Dieruf Foundation supports local families impacted by cystic fibrosis. MBC will again partner with The Great Rocky Mountain Toy Company. Bring your Carnival of the Animals ticket into Rocky Mountain Toy and receive 20% off any item in the store.
