UPDATE : 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15

The Idaho County Sheriff's Office reports that the Millers have been found safe. Their truck had broken down, but were able to effect repairs. They are on their way to connect with family members who have been waiting at the Lochsa Lodge.

The Idaho County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team is currently searching for Tom and Sharon Miller, both 78, of Deer Lodge, Montana.

The Millers left the Lochsa Lodge in Powell yesterday about 11:00 a.m. to go on a drive on the Nez Perce/Lewis Clark Trail.  They expected to be gone about 4 hours. At this time, (noon on Wednesday, July 15) the Millers have not returned.

They are driving a white 1995 extended cab Ford F250 pickup with a white camper shell and Montana plate 286864A.

U.S. Forest Service employees from the Powell Ranger Station are also assisting in the search.
