Former Montana State football coach Mike Kramer has been hired as the head coach at Big Sky conference rival Idaho State. The ‘big human’ and his ISU Bengals will appear at the newly renovated Bobcat Football Stadium this fall.

ISU announced Sunday that head coach John Zamberlin and his assistant coaches were being fired. Zamberlin coached the Bengals’ final game of the season on Saturday, a 34-7 loss at Eastern Washington. ISU finished 1-10.

The university released a statement on Sunday evening that said the new football coach would be announced today at 10 a.m.

Mike Kramer, who won one Big Sky championship at Eastern Washington and three while the head coach at Montana State, was introduced as the new coach at ISU.
