Instagram Is Going To Sell Your Pictures, And You Can’t Opt Out. WTH?

Facebook knows where you sleep. Facebook owns Instagram. Instagram is going to sell your pictures, because they can according to a new policy taking effect on January 16th, 2012. No, you can't opt out. Yet.

The new Instagram Terms of Service is tedious but worth a read. This stuff is reasonably serious to anyone who actively uses Instagram as a professional platform. (Not that you SHOULD be using it that way, but people do.)

If you decide to get your photos from Instagram and delete your account, perhaps you'll actually take a real picture with your real camera and keep them to yourself and your real loved ones.
