Indecent and profane as defined by who? There are limits, seven dirty words, to what can be said on the radio, made famous by comic George Carlin. But what if they are the best words in common use that describe the situation?

So, what is language exactly? The best I can figure, "language" is a series of sounds that convey a deeper understanding of Ideas.

I love you, thank you, hold that elevator...

Sounds that represent ideas. Language. If we can agree on that, every musician is esteemed as an English lit grad. Some going to community college, others to Yale.

I can craft or explain my true meaning to a story without using a single one of the seven words; but if a single word would do, why not use it?
