Heading to the Beartooth Highway? Watch Out for Closures

This Sunday, the Beartooth Highway closure begins.

That's Sunday, July 9, 2017. If you're headed to the Beartooth Highway, you may want to find another way. Everyone complains about road conditions and that's why you won't be able to drive on the Beartooth Highway. They are making improvements on the road.

They are closing it at 8 p.m. and it will open again at 8 a.m. For 12 hours, you will not be able to use the roadway. They will continue to work on highway improvements all week until Friday. So please make other plans if you are traveling on those dates and times.

The closure is 12 miles south of the Red Lodge, including the north gate all the way until you hit the Wyoming state line.

Beartooth Highway Closure will last for about four weeks.
