After a long winter, the trails need a little TLC. Gallatin Valley Land Trust is gearing up for their annual volunteer trail work event, a nationwide celebration called National Trails Day. This year's event will take place on June 7th at the Lindley Park Pavilion. Crews will meet at the Pavilion at 9am to be assigned to a work project. This year's projects include family-friendly trail resurfacing in Lindley Park and new trail construction at the Highland Glen Nature Preserve near Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. Volunteers should come prepared to work outside and bring sunscreen, sturdy shoes, hat,  and gloves. GVLT will provide tools, but if possible volunteers are asked to bring shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows. Lunch, donated by Baja Fresh, will be served at the Pavilion at 12:30pm.

Interested in helping out? Simply show up the morning of the 7th ready to work. Questions? Visit www.gvlt.org/events
