I just don't understand hiking. You walk around, your legs hurt and you might get attacked by a bear or a mountain lion.

This week, I went out with fellow radio station employees for a station barbecue. After eating and drinking champagne, I began to listen to my new Montanan friends talk about how wonderful hiking is, but I still don't get it.

Almost every week on the morning show Dominick In The Morning, a listener will call and urge me to try hiking. Why is it so important that I try this "hiking" thing?

I hate the outdoors, the bugs, the heat, dangers of animal attacks. But I was dressed for it. It was now or never.

I guess it's NEVER.
