Daines Launches Initiative to Recognize Outstanding Montanans

Senator Steve Daines has announced a new effort to recognize Montanans who exemplify the state’s strong legacy of community spirit and leadership.

Through the “Montanan of the Week” initiative, Daines each week will highlight a Montanan by submitting a statement of recognition in the official Congressional Record, the document that reflects the official proceedings of Congress.

“In Montana, we have some of the most compassionate, hardworking and dedicated folks in the nation,” Daines stated. “The ‘Montanan of the Week’ initiative will work to give much deserved recognition to Montanans who do extraordinary things each and every day. I’m excited for this opportunity to highlight the great people of Montana and our state’s strong legacy of service.”
