Cisco’s annual Global Mobile Data Traffic Forecast makes some interesting (some may say frightening) predictions, including the fact that the number of mobile-connected devices will exceed the world’s population sometime this year.

Groundhog Day was first celebrated on February 2, 1886 in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, but the legend of the groundhog’s prognosticating prowess was first established a year later. A group of devoted followers went to Gobbler’s Knob to spread word that the little rodent had special powers to determine the length of the winter.
If the furry mascot emerges from its cave only to scamper back in without spotting its shadow, we should rejoice: Winter would be ending soon. However, if the sun that morning allows the groundhog to see its shadow the winter weather will go on for an additional six weeks.
You’ve probably noticed that more and more fast food restaurants are staying open into the wee hours of the morning or not closing at all. According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, this is because McDonald’s and the like are now seeing some of their best profits between midnight and five AM.
The Oscar nominations announced earlier today had some heads turning at the ‘Documentary Feature’ category as a couple of high profile blogs thought that ‘The Undefeated,’ the critically-panned Sarah Palin documentary, picked up a nod. Turns out, it was all a big coincidence.
