The City of Bozeman, Montana State University Extension – Housing & Environmental
Health Program and the MT Weatherization Training Center are pleased to present the
spring 2016 Sustainability Workshop Series.

Workshop #3, April 14: The Solar State of Affairs
Hear from Orion Thornton, Vice President of the Montana Renewable Energy
Association, to learn about the basics of solar photovoltaic energy generation, the latest
technology and current trends in the market and growth of solar, how to assess solar
feasibility for your home or business, typical price ranges and payback periods, available grants and financing options, net metering and how it works, and the concept of large scale community solar projects.

In addition, hear a project update from Jonathan Shafer, NorthWestern Energy’s
automation & technology engineer, on the Bozeman Solar Pilot Project, NorthWestern
Energy’s first utility-scale solar project.

Workshops will be held on the second Thursday of each month from February through May, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Beall Park Recreation Center (415 N. Bozeman Ave.). Food and
drinks provided—bring your own mug!
