Besides all the great things you can do at the Big Sky Country State Fair, add books to the mix. All week at the fair you can get a library card and check out books, DVDs, audio books and even attend story time.

The Mobile Bozeman Library will be the place to hang out.

The bookmobile librarian says there will be activities every day. Plus the
bookmobile is supporting the special Ivan Doig exhibit. Who is Ivan Doig? According to his biography:

Ivan Clark Doig, a third-generation Montanan of Scottish descent, was born on June 27, 1939 in White Sulphur Springs, Montana and was the only child of Charlie Doig and Berneta Ringer Doig. After his mother passed away from asthma on Ivan’s sixth birthday, he was raised by his father and his grandmother, Bessie Ringer. Ivan’s father earned a living as a ranch foreman and sheep herder, consequently settling his family in Dupuyer, Montana near the Rocky Mountain Front, where many of Ivan’s books are set..... his House of Sky, along with Doig’s other works, earned him a lifetime Distinguished Achievement Award from the Western Literature Association in 1989.

You will be able check out some of Doig's novels from the bookmobile and some talks about his work will be featured.

A full schedule of bookmobile events is available and the library is located online at 406StateFair.com.
