Bozeman Hunter Education Class Begin April 7th

The class will begin April 7 at Chief Joseph Middle School:
Monday April 7, 2014 6:30 p.m.- 9 p.m. Chief Joseph Middle School

Tuesday April 8, 2014 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. Chief Joseph Middle School

Wednesday April 9, 2014 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. Chief Joseph Middle School

Thursday April 10, 2014 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. Chief Joseph Middle School

Friday April 11, 2014 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. Chief Joseph Middle School

Saturday April 12, 2014 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.* Logan Range

*Students will attend field day from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m., or 1 p.m. - 5 p.m., as assigned in class.

There are two options for registration for the Bozeman class:

• Students may register online until April 4 by going to FWP's website at fwp.mt.gov, clicking on Education, then Hunter Education, then "View Course Schedule." Students must print, sign and bring the Student Agreement Form the first night of class. If the student is under 18 years old, a parent/guardian must sign the agreement. After online registration, classroom materials must be picked up at FWP's regional office in Bozeman (1400 S. 19th Ave.) by the end of the day on April 4.

• Students may also register in person on Wednesday, March 26 from 7-9 p.m. at the FWP regional office in Bozeman in the large conference room.

Students under 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent or guardian to take this class. Those students under 18 years old must also have a responsible adult with them on the Saturday field day.

A student must be 11-years-old to receive hunter education certification.
