A recent health study, The Bridger Creek Community Vapor Intrusion Health Consultation, was conducted by the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), and was recently announced by the city.

The ATSDR report confirms that naturally occurring radon poses the greatest health hazard to residents in the Bridger Creek Phase Three neighborhood. However, the study notes that the city’s proactive installation of mitigation systems in homes in the Bridger Creek Phase Three neighborhood addressed the risks associated with naturally occurring radon as well as any potential risks associated with landfill gas that could be moving off the community’s former Story Mill Landfill.
