I've always appreciated the neat houses of Bozeman but never thought they were that different from other towns' houses. I just figured all towns had that same part of town that was slightly older and had interesting architecture. But Bozeman was recognized by a national magazine as having one of the "Best Old House Neighborhoods" in all of the college towns.

A national magazine recently recognized Bozeman for having one of the "Best Old House Neighborhoods" for college towns in 2011.

This Old House magazine praised Bozeman's historic district for its homes from the Spanish Colonial Revival and Tudor styles to vernacular farmhouses, Queen Annes and Craftsman bungalows.

A historic preservation officer with the city said Bozeman is fortunate to have property owners who pride themselves on keeping up their older homes.
