If you count back nine months it's not hard to imagine why such a large number of musicians celebrate their birthdays in October. Wednesday is no exception as we remember the 73rd anniversary of John Lennon's birth and celebrate Jackson Browne's 64th!

I don't think in a million years I could write something about Lennon that hasn't already been written. Beyond music, John was an author, artist and while I never met him personally I have the deepest sensation he was a very kind soul based a a number of conversation I was lucky to have with his widow, Yoko Ono. And, oh yeah, he had a wicked sense of humor. You have been missed every day by millions since you were taken from us Mr. Lennon.

Not to be pushed into a sidebar, JACKSON BROWNE is 65, Happy Birthday! Hope your next trip around the Sun is better than the last one... A member of a loose collection of musicians that were commonly know as, "The West Coast Mafia," who's members also included The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and a few others... Jackson, for my money, is one of the most underrated songwriters of all time. I hope you enjoy my favorite Jackson Browne album below.
