The Billings City Council unanimously voted former Bozeman City Manager Chris Kukulski be their next City Administrator.

Kukulski served as the Bozeman City Manager from 2004 to June 2017. According to a press release by then Mayor Carson Taylor Kukulski left his post after a unanimous vote by the Bozeman City Commission.

In 2017 Kukulski moved to Zoot Enterprises in Four Corners to assume the position of vice president of business development.

The Billings opening was created by the September 2017 retirement of Tina Volek after serving as the cities longest serving city administrator.

Greg Doyon who is the city administrator in Great Falls was the commissions first choice, however he backed out in December unhappy with the compensation package offered by Billings.

The Billings City Council narrowed their search to four candidates including Kukulski and after a series of interviews and Q and A’s Kukulski was chosen by a unanimous vote on Tuesday night October 9th.
