I have to say, Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) finally gave us something we can probably agree with him on. When it comes to the news about Manafort and Cohen, the topic of Supreme Court nominees is much more important.

But don't take too much comfort- Senator Tester continues to do everything he can to delay and eventually try to deny President Trump's nominee from being confirmed to the US Supreme Court. Plus, we all know they will move forward with impeachment if Democrats take control of Congress, even though Tester and other vulnerable Senate Democrats don't want to say it.

From The Miami Herald:

Sen. Claire McCaskill does not want to talk about Paul Manafort’s guilty verdict and Michael Cohen’s guilty plea. She doesn’t want to discuss what it means for President Donald Trump.

Neither do most vulnerable Democrats.

The Associated Press also reported that Trump's strongest supporters echoed his "no collusion" retorts, suggesting that, absent any evidence that he worked with Russia to influence the 2016 election, there is just no high-crimes-and- misdemeanors case for impeachment. The AP added that Democrats are trying to tamp down expectations from their liberal base of taking on the president for fear that impeachment talk will cause GOP voters to rally around Trump in November.
