In a replay from an incident last year, another Apple employee lost another iPhone prototype in yet another Bay Area bar. If this keeps up, they’re going to start surgically implanting new phones into developers’ arms.

This phone, which will reportedly be called the iPhone 5 and go on sale later this year, was left at Cava22, a San Francisco establishment that bills itself as a “tequila lounge.”

The prototype is thought to have been found and sold on Craigslist for $200, but when Apple electronically traced it to a home in the city’s Bernal Heights district, the man there not only denied having it, he invited police in to look for it themselves. They came up empty-handed.

Cava22′s owner, Jose Valle, told CNET, “I guess I have to make my drinks a little less strong.”
