UPDATE 3:30 p.m. May 19

Polson Police Chief Wade Nash said Sunday afternoon that the Amber Alert called early Sunday morning was cancelled after Liliana Dawn Maria Big Crane, 2, was found safe by Lake County authorities in Sanders County. This morning around nine o’clock we had some tips that the suspect might be headed to Sanders County,” Nash said. “We located her vehicle at a residence over there, and Sanders County authorities, as we as the Tribal Police  took her into custody and the child was located. The female, identified earlier as Jamie Lynn Finley, was taken into custody and taken back to Lake County for interviews and questioning. She is currently in custody.”

Nash said the child was unhurt and in good condition.

“The two year-old appeared to be healthy,” Nash said. “She was turned over to the Department of Family Services. The suspect could be charged with custodial interference or even kidnapping. We are currently investigating the incident, so we’ll be able to have that information at a later time.”

UPDATE 12:30 p.m. May 19: Lilliana has been found in Polson and her suspected captor is in custody.

Original story: An amber alert has been issued for a young, two-year-old girl from Polson.

The girl’s name is Lilliana Dawn Marie Bigcrane and she is believed to have been taken by Jaimie Lynn Finley, a relative.

Lilliana has been described as a Native American girl around two feet tall with brown eyes. She has brown hair with long bangs. She has a cigarette burn scar on her forehead and was likely wearing a Dora the Explorer sweater, a Hello Kitty shirt, and pink shoes.

Lilliana disappeared around 7 p.m. on Saturday after Finley reportedly entered the girl’s home, attacked the mother, and took the child. Authorities believe Finley may have been on drugs and that Lilliana’s life may be in danger. They may be driving towards Hot Springs, Montana

The prime suspect, Jamie Lynn Finley, is also Native American. She stands at 5’6″ and weighs roughly 170 pounds with  brown hair and brown eyes.
