AG Fox Calls on Secretary Jewell to Visit Colstrip

Attorney General Fox Calls on Secretary Jewell to visit Colstrip, to see  the impacts of anti-coal rules.

"The regulations Interior Secretary Jewell is implementing have dire consequences for Montana's economy," said Montana Attorney General Tim Fox. "I strongly encourage her to visit with those who will be most impacted by her anti-coal policies."

There are many other federal regulations that are part of the war on coal that need to be addressed.  Continued Fox, Federal coal leasing contributes approximately $50 million per biennium to the state coffers, and Jewell's moratorium on federal coal leasing will leave Montana with not only fewer jobs, but a large budget hole to fill.
