Jeff Krauss was the guest on Open for Business and the first topic of conversation was about a mobile home park on Willson Street that is being sold and may be developed by the new owner.

The rumored plans are for three story townhouses or condominiums to take the place of the mobile homes that currently occupy the space.

Krauss knows the owner of the park and give a perspective as to the future of that site.

Listeners were also reminded of the Bridger Mobile Home park that displaced many residents of that park, but development never happened due to many legal battles and some illegal activity by the developers.

Also joining conversation by phone was Tony Kovach of Mobile Home Living News to bring us up to speed on affordable mobile home living and some of the legislation past and present his group is working on.

A caller who’s trying to add an addition to her current mobile home park voiced her frustration to the cost of all the rules and regulational hoops she has to jump through.

Listen to this informative interview on mobile home living, low cost housing and the challenges of those who’re looking for their own low-cost starter castle.
