Election Day in Montana is about a month away, but voting is getting underway with officials mailing absentee ballots today. Two-thirds of the people who participate in the upcoming June 5 election are expected to vote absentee.
Montana voters will be picking a Republican nominee from four candidates to challenge Democratic Senator Jon Tester. Five Democratic candidates are competing for their party's nomination to run against Republican Congressman Greg Gianforte.

The voters also have the option of picking a third-party ballot candidates from the Green Party. That party has two candidates seeking the nomination for the Senate race.
